Last Spike Dinner & Silent
Auction Fundraiser: Friday
August 12th
Come enjoy an evening of great
food and entertainment. The
dinner will be catered by
Riverside Landing. Entertainment
for the evening will be provided
by Abe Zacharias, a country /
western artist who has been
performing for over 35 years.
Silent Auction Opens at 5:00pm
Dinner is at 6:00pm
The dinner will be held in
Rotary Park, located behind the
Railway Museum. For more
information, and to purchase
tickets, please call the Railway
Museum at 250-837-6060.
Arrow
Lakes Lumber Co. Logging Railway
Trestle Tour: Saturday August
13th Join two of
the Railway Museum’s railfans on
a guided bus excursion to the
Arrow Lakes to see this
fascinating relic of a trestle
bridge originally built in 1906
and used to assist logging
operations for white pine in the
area.
The bus will leave the Railway
Museum at 8:00am and will return
at approximately 3:00pm (arrival
time will depend on the Galena
Bay Ferry).
Price is $25.00 and includes a
boxed lunch.

Magic Lantern Show: Saturday
August 13th
There will be a special
showing of a Magic Lantern Show at the Nickelodeon Museum
hosted by the Bygone Era
Entertainment Society. The skill of
operating this early audio-visual
equipment is just as entertaining as
the slides themselves!
Show begins at 7pm at the
Nickelodeon Museum.
